On March 24, 2019, Zhang Ming, Commercial Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Sudan, and Moussa Omar Abujasim, Director of the Dam Executive Directorate of the Ministry of Water and Electricity of Sudan, signed the implementation agreement to assist Sudan well water supply project.
Zhang said that the project aims to help Sudan solve the problem of water shortage in rural poverty-stricken areas to improve people's livelihood and promote Sudan's economic development. The signing of this agreement marks an important step for China and Sudan to jointly promote the success of the project. It is hoped that with the joint efforts of both sides, the project will benefit the Sudanese people as early as possible.
Moussa said that the project is of great significance to reducing poverty and improving people's livelihood in Sudan. Thanks to the Chinese government for its selfless help to Sudan. The Chinese government and enterprises have always had good cooperative relations with the Dam Bureau of the Ministry of Water and Power. The dam bureau is willing to continue to strengthen cooperation with the Chinese side on this basis and work together to promote the early implementation and success of the project.
