The Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, together with the Chinese Government, signed agreement to a number of projects financed by the Chinese Government through interest-free loans and grants, including technical cooperation projects for the Presidential Palace, furniture for the Friendship Hall, security and safety equipment at the crossings, and the technical cooperation project of the vocational training center.
The Ministry of Finance Planning Undersecretary Azahari Idris confirmed the strong relations between the Sudanese and Chinese governments, which are developing in all economic fields, and he said that cooperation between the two countries is based on the common interests, coordination and continuous consultation between them, as well as exchange of support in regional and international forums. Sudan has become one of China’s most important trading partners in Africa and the Arab region, calling on China to continue to increase its cooperation with Sudan.
On his part, China's ambassador in Khartoum, Ma Xinmin, said China executed a number of projects in different economic fields in Sudan.
